Version
Psalm 126

Psalm 126

A song for going up to worship.

When Yahweh restored the fortunes of Zion,
it was as if we were dreaming.
Then our mouths were filled with laughter
and our tongues with joyful songs.
    Then the nations said,
Yahweh has done spectacular things for them.”

Yahweh has done spectacular things for us.
    We are overjoyed.
Restore our fortunes, O Yahweh,
as you restore streams to dry riverbeds in the Negev.
Those who cry while they plant
will joyfully sing while they harvest.
The person who goes out weeping, carrying his bag of seed,
will come home singing, carrying his bundles of grain.

Genesis 25:7-11

Abraham lived 175 years. Then he took his last breath, and died at a very old age. After a long and full life, he joined his ancestors in death. His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah in the field of Ephron, son of Zohar the Hittite. The cave is east of Mamre. 10 This was the field that Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 11 After Abraham died, Elohim blessed his son Isaac, who settled near Beer Lahai Roi.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:5

Paul Encourages the Thessalonians

13 We always have to thank God for you, brothers and sisters. You are loved by the Lord and we thank God that in the beginning he chose you to be saved through a life of spiritual devotion and faith in the truth. 14 With this in mind he called you by the Good News which we told you so that you would obtain the glory of our Lord Yeshua Christ.

15 Then, brothers and sisters, firmly hold on to the traditions we taught you either when we spoke to you or in our letter.

16 God our Father loved us and by his kindness[a] gave us everlasting encouragement and good hope. Together with our Lord Yeshua Christ, 17 may he encourage and strengthen you to do and say everything that is good.

Paul’s Final Instructions for the Thessalonians

Finally, brothers and sisters, pray that we spread the Lord’s word rapidly and that it will be honored the way it was among you. Also pray that we may be rescued from worthless and evil people, since not everyone shares our faith. But the Lord is faithful and will strengthen you and protect you against the evil one.

The Lord gives us confidence that you are doing and will continue to do what we ordered you to do. May the Lord direct your lives as you show God’s love and Christ’s endurance.
