Version
Psalm 23

23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me to rest in green pasture and leads me by the still waters.

He restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His Name’s sake.

Indeed, though I should walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the sight of my adversaries. You anoint my head with oil; and my cup runs over.

Doubtless, kindness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall remain in the House of the LORD forever. A Psalm of David.

Exodus 3:16-22

16 “Go and gather the elders of Israel together; and you shall say to them, ‘The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob appeared to me, and said, “I have surely remembered you and that which is done to you in Egypt.

17 “Therefore I said, ‘I will bring you out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land that flows with milk and honey.’”

18 “Then they shall obey My voice. And you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us. We ask you now, therefore, please let us go three days’ journey in the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’

19 “But, I know that the king of Egypt will only let you go by a strong hand.

20 “Therefore, I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all My wonders which I will do in the midst thereof. And after that, he shall let you go.

21 “And I will make this people favored by the Egyptians, so that when you go, you shall not go empty.

22 “For every woman shall ask of her neighbor (and of her who sojourns in her house) jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothing. And you shall put them on your sons and on your daughters and shall plunder the Egyptians.”

Exodus 4:18-20

18 Therefore, Moses went and returned to Jethro, his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please, let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt and see whether they are still alive.” Then Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

19 (For the LORD had said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return to Egypt. For they are all dead who plotted to kill you.)

20 Then Moses took his wife and his sons and put them on a donkey and returned toward the land of Egypt. And Moses took the rod of God in his hand.

1 Peter 2:13-17

13 Therefore, submit yourselves to every institution of man, for the Lord’s sake; whether it is to the king (as superior),

14 or to governors (those sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do well).

15 For such is the will of God: that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

16 as free—yet not having freedom be a cloak for evil—but as servants of God.

17 Honor the whole brotherhood. Love brotherly fellowship. Fear God. Honor the King.
