80 Unto the end, for the winepresses, a psalm for Asaph himself.

² Rejoice to God our helper: sing aloud to the God of Jacob.

³ Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel: the pleasant psaltery with the harp.

⁴ Blow up the trumpet on the new moon, on the noted day of your solemnity.

⁵ For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.

⁶ He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.

⁷ He removed his back from the burdens: his hands had served in baskets.

¹⁷ And he fed them with the fat of wheat, and filled them with honey out of the rock.

¹⁸ And David went in, and sat before the Lord, and said: Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me thus far?

¹⁹ But yet this hath seemed little in thy sight, O Lord God, unless thou didst also speak of the house of thy servant for a long time to come: for this is the law of Adam, O Lord God.

²⁰ And what can David say more unto thee? for thou knowest thy servant, O Lord God:

²¹ For thy word's sake, and according to thy own heart thou hast done all these great things, so that thou wouldst make it known to thy servant.

²² Therefore thou art magnified, O Lord God, because there is none like to thee, neither is there any God besides thee, in all the things that we have heard with our ears.

4 Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

² But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed by the father:

³ So we also, when we were children, were serving under the elements of the world.

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:

⁵ That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons.

⁶ And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.

⁷ Therefore now he is not a servant, but a son. And if a son, an heir also through God.
