Haggai 1:15-2:9

15 on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month, in the second year of King Darius.

In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, came the Word of the LORD by the ministry of the Prophet Haggai, saying:

“Speak now to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, prince of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak the High Priest, and to the rest of the people, saying,

‘Who is left among you who saw this House in her first glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem as nothing in your eyes by comparison?

‘Yet now, be of good courage, O Zerubbabel!’ says the LORD, ‘And be of good comfort, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak the High Priest. And be strong, all you people of the land,’ says the LORD, ‘and do it. For I am with you,’ says the LORD of Hosts.

‘According to the Word that I Covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit shall remain among you. Do not fear!’

“For thus says the LORD of Hosts: “Yet a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the Earth and the sea and the dry land.

‘And I will move all nations. And the desire of all nations shall come. And I will fill this House with Glory,’ says the LORD of Hosts.

‘The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of Hosts.

‘The Glory of this last House shall be greater than the first,’ says the LORD of Hosts, ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of Hosts.”

Psalm 145:1-5

145 O my God and King, I will extol You, and will bless Your Name forever and ever.

I will bless You daily and praise Your Name forever and ever.

Great is the LORD, and most worthy to be praised. His greatness is incomprehensible.

Generation to generation shall praise Your works and declare Your power.

I will meditate on the beauty of Your glorious majesty and Your wonderful works.

Psalm 145:17-21

17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His works.

18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.

20 The LORD preserves all those who love Him; but He will destroy the wicked.

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and all flesh shall bless His Holy Name forever and ever. Praise the LORD.

Psalm 98

98 Sing to the LORD a new song; for He has done marvelous things! His right hand and His holy arm have gotten Him the victory.

The LORD declared His salvation. He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.

He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the House of Israel. All the ends of the Earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Sing loud to the LORD, all the Earth! Cry out and rejoice; and sing praises!

Sing praise to the LORD upon the harp, upon the harp with a singing voice.

With shofars and sound of trumpets sing loud before the LORD the King.

Let the sea roar and all that therein is, the world and those who dwell therein.

Let the floods clap their hands! Let the mountains rejoice together

before the LORD! For He has come to judge the Earth. With righteousness shall He judge the world, and the people with equity.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-5

Now we urge you, brothers, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (and by our assembling to Him),

to not waver suddenly in your mind or be troubled by spirit or word or letter which seems to come from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.

Let no one deceive you in any way. For that Day shall not come unless an apostasy comes first and the man of sin is revealed - the Son of Perdition -

who is an adversary and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God, in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things?

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers (beloved of the Lord) because God has chosen you for salvation from the beginning, through sanctification of the Spirit and the faith of truth;

14 to which He called you by our Gospel to obtain the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brothers, stand fast and keep the instructions which you have been taught, either by word or by our letter.

16 Now may the same Jesus Christ our Lord, and our God, even the Father, Who has loved us and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every word and good work.

Luke 20:27-38

27 Then some of the Sadducees came to Him (who deny that there is any resurrection). And they asked Him,

28 “Master, Moses wrote to us: ‘If anyone’s brother dies having a wife (and he dies without children), that his brother should take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.’

29 “Now there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and he died without children.

30 “And the second took the wife, and he died childless.

31 “Then the third took her. And so likewise did all seven die and leave no children.

32 “And last of all, the woman also died.

33 “Therefore, at the resurrection, whose wife shall she be? For seven had her as wife.”

34 Then Jesus answered, and said to them, “The sons of this world marry wives, and are married.

35 “But those who shall be counted worthy to enjoy that World, (and the resurrection from the dead) neither marry wives nor are married.

36 “For they can die no more, because they are equal to the angels and are the sons of God (since they are sons of the resurrection).

37 “And even Moses showed that the dead shall rise again when, beside the bush, he said, ‘The Lord is the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

38 “For He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. For all live for Him.”
