Psalm 145:1-5

145 This Psalm was composed when the kingdom of David flourished. 1 Wherein he describeth the wonderful providence of God, as well in governing man, as in preserving all the rest of his creatures. 17 He praiseth God for his justice and mercy. 18 But specially for his loving-kindness toward those that call upon him, that fear him, and love him:  21 For the which he promiseth to praise him forever.

A Psalm of David of praise.

O my God and King, [a]I will extol thee, and will bless thy Name forever and ever.

I will bless thee daily, and praise thy Name forever and ever.

[b]Great is the Lord, and most worthy to be praised, and his greatness is incomprehensible.

Generation shall praise thy works unto [c]generation, and declare thy power.

I will meditate of the beauty of thy glorious majesty, and thy wonderful works.

Psalm 145:17-21

17 The Lord is [a]righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

18 The Lord is near unto all that call upon him, yea, to all that call upon him in [b]truth.

19 He will fulfill the [c]desire of them that fear him; he will also hear their cry, and will save them.

20 The Lord preserveth all them that love him; but he will destroy the wicked.

21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all [d]flesh shall bless his holy Name forever and ever.

Zechariah 6:9-15

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and Jedaiah, which are come from Babel, and come thou the same day, and go unto the house of [a]Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.

11 Take even silver, and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the [b]head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak the high Priest,

12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, and saith, Behold, the man whose name is the [c]Branch, and he shall grow [d]up out of his place, and he shall [e]build the Temple of the Lord.

13 Even he shall build the Temple of the Lord, and he shall bear the [f]glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne, and he shall be a Priest upon his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between [g]them both.

14 And the crowns shall be to [h]Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to [i]Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a [j]memorial in the Temple of the Lord.

15 And they that are [k]far off, shall come and build in the Temple of the Lord, and ye shall know, that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will [l]obey the voice of the Lord your God.

Acts 24:10-23

10 [a]Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him that he should speak, answered, I do the more gladly answer for myself, forasmuch as I know that [b]thou hast been oft many years a judge unto this nation,

11 Seeing that thou mayest know, that there are but twelve days since I came up to worship in Jerusalem.

12 And they neither found me in the Temple, disputing with any man, neither making uproar among the people, neither in the Synagogues, nor in the city.

13 Neither can they [c]prove the things, whereof they now accuse me.

14 [d]But this I confess unto thee, that after the way (which they call [e]heresy) so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and the Prophets,

15 And have hope towards God, that the resurrection of the dead, which they themselves look for also, shall be both of just and unjust.

16 And herein I endeavor myself to have always a clear conscience toward God and toward men.

17 [f]Now after many years, I came and brought alms to my nation and offerings,

18 At [g]what time, certain Jews of [h]Asia found me purified in the Temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.

19 Who ought to have been present before thee, and accuse me, if they had ought against me.

20 Or let these themselves say, if they have found any unjust thing in me, while I stood in the [i]Council,

21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Of the resurrection of the dead am I accused of you this day.

22 [j]Now when Felix heard these things, he deferred them, and said, When I shall more [k]perfectly know the things which concern this way, by the coming of Lysias the chief Captain, I will decide your matter.

23 [l]Then he commanded a Centurion to keep Paul, and that he should have ease, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister unto him, or to come unto him.
