Lamentations 3:19-26

19 Remembering mine affliction, and my mourning, the wormwood and the gall.

20 My soul hath them in remembrance, and is humbled [a]in me.

21 I consider this in mine heart: therefore have I hope.

22 It is the Lord’s [b]mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23 They are renewed [c]every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24 The Lord is my [d]portion, saith my soul: therefore will I hope in him.

25 The Lord is good unto them that trust in him, and to the soul that seeketh him.

26 It is good both to trust, and to wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Jeremiah 52:12-30

12 Now in the fifth month in the [a]tenth day of the month (which was the nineteenth year of the king Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel) came Nebuzaradan chief steward which [b]stood before the king of Babel in Jerusalem,

13 And burnt the House of the Lord, and the King’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the great houses burnt he with fire.

14 And all the army of the Chaldeans that were with the chief steward, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.

15 Then Nebuzaradan the chief steward carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that were fled, and fallen to the King of Babel, with the rest of the multitude.

16 But Nebuzaradan the chief steward left certain of the poor of the land, to dress the vines, and to till the land.

17 Also the [c]pillars of brass that were in the House of the Lord, and the bases, and the brazen Sea, that was in the House of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babel.

18 The pots also and the [d]besoms, and the instruments of music, and the basins, and the incense dishes, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

19 And the bowls, and the ashpans, and the basins, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the incense dishes, and the cups, and all that was of gold, and that was of silver, took the chief steward away,

20 With the two pillars, one Sea, and twelve brazen bulls, that were under the bases, which King Solomon had made in the House of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without [e]weight.

21 And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, and a thread of twelve cubits did compass it, and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.

22 And a chapiter of brass was upon it, and the height of one chapiter was five cubits with network, and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass: the second pillar also, and the pomegranates were like unto these.

23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side: and all the pomegranates upon the network were an [f]hundred round about.

24 And the chief steward took Seraiah the chief Priest, and Zephaniah [g]the second Priest, and the three keepers of the door.

25 He took also out of the city an Eunuch, which had the oversight of the men of war, and [h]seven men that were in the King’s presence, which were found in the city, and Sopher captain of the host, who mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

26 Nebuzaradan the chief steward took them, and brought them to the King of Babel to Riblah.

27 And the king of Babel smote them, and slew them in Riblah, in the land of Hamath: thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

28 ¶ This is the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar carried away captive, in the [i]seventh year, even three thousand Jews, and three and twenty.

29 In the [j]eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two [k]persons.

30 In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the chief steward carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

Revelation 2:12-29

12 [a]And to the Angel of the Church, which is at [b]Pergamos write, Thus saith he which hath that sharp sword with two edges.

13 [c]I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s throne is, and thou keepest my Name, and hast not denied my faith, even in [d]those days when Antipas my faithful martyr was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that maintain the doctrine of (A)Balaam, which taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, that they should [e]eat of things sacrificed unto idols, and commit fornication.

15 Even so hast thou them that maintain the doctrine of the [f]Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

16 Repent thyself, or else I will come unto thee shortly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 [g]Let him that hath an ear, hear what the spirit saith unto the Churches. To him that overcometh, will I give to eat [h]of the [i]Manna that is hid, and will give him a [j][k]white stone, and in the stone a new [l]name written, which no man knoweth, saving he that receiveth it.

18 And unto [m]the Angel of the Church which is at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, which hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass.

19 I know [n]thy works and thy love, and [o]service and faith, and thy patience, and thy works, and that they are more at the last, than at the first.

20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, that thou sufferest the woman Jezebel which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to deceive my servants, to make them commit [p]fornication and to eat meat sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit fornication with her, into great affliction, except they repent them of their works.

23 And I will kill her children with death, and all the Churches shall know that I am he which (B)search the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according unto your works.

24 And unto you I say, the rest of them of Thyatira, As many as have not this learning, neither have known the [q]deepness of Satan (as they speak) I will [r]put upon you none other burden,

25 But that which ye have already, hold fast till I come.

26 [s]For he that overcometh and keepeth my words unto the end, to him will I give [t]power over nations.

27 (C)And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and as the vessels of a potter, shall they be broken:

28 Even as I received of my Father, so will I give him [u]the morning Star.

29 Let him that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith to the Churches.
