Psalm 146

146 1 David declareth his great zeal that he hath to praise God. 3 And teacheth, not to trust in man, but only in God Almighty, 7 Which delivereth the afflicted,  9 Defendeth the strangers, comforteth the fatherless, and the widows, 10 And reigneth forever.

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise thou the Lord, O my [a]soul.

I will praise the Lord during my life; as long as I have any being, I will sing unto my God.

Put not your trust in [b]Princes, nor in the son of man, for there is no help in him.

His breath departeth, and he returneth to his earth; then his [c]thoughts perish.

Blessed is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Which made [d]heaven and earth, the sea, and all that therein is; which keepeth his fidelity forever,

Which executeth justice [e]for the oppressed, which giveth bread to the hungry; the Lord looseth the prisoners.

The Lord giveth sight to the blind: the Lord raiseth up the crooked: the Lord [f]loveth the righteous.

The Lord keepeth the [g]strangers: he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but he overthroweth the way of the wicked.

10 The Lord shall [h]reign forever: O Zion, thy God endureth from generation to generation. Praise ye the Lord.

Ruth 2:1-9

2 Ruth gathered corn in the fields of Boaz.  8 The gentleness of Boaz toward her.

Then Naomi’s husband had a kinsman, one of great [a]power of the family of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz.

And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, I pray thee, let me go to the field, and [b]gather ears of corn after him, in whose sight I find favor. And she said unto her, Go my daughter.

¶ And she went, and came and gleaned in the field after the reapers, and it came to pass, that she met with the portion of the field of Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.

And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The Lord be with you: and they answered him, The Lord bless thee.

Then said Boaz unto his servant that was appointed over the reapers, Whose maid is this?

And the servant that was appointed over the reapers, answered, and said, It is the Moabitish maid, that came with Naomi out of the country of Moab:

And she said unto us, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers [c]among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued from that time in the morning unto now, save that she tarried a little in the house.

¶ Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou, my daughter? go to none other field to gather, neither go from hence: but abide here by my maidens.

[d]Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after the maidens. Have I not charged the servants, that they touch thee not? Moreover when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the servants hath drawn.

Romans 3:21-31

21 [a]But now is the righteousness of God made manifest without the Law, having witness of the Law, and of the Prophets,

22 [b]To wit, the righteousness of God by the faith of [c]Jesus Christ, unto all, and upon all that believe.

23 For there is no difference: for all have sinned, and are deprived of the [d]glory of God,

24 [e]And are justified [f]freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

25 [g]Whom God hath set forth to be a reconciliation through faith in his [h]blood to declare his righteousness, by the forgiveness of the sins that [i]are passed,

26 Through the [j]patience of God, to show at [k]this time his righteousness, that he might be [l]just, and a [m]justifier of him which is of the [n]faith of Jesus.

27 [o]Where is then the rejoicing? It is excluded. By what [p]Law? of works? Nay: but by the Law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the Law.

29 [q]God, is he the God of the [r]Jews only, and not of the Gentiles also? Yes, even of the Gentiles also.

30 For it is one God, who shall justify [s]circumcision of faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31 [t]Do we then make the Law of [u]none effect through faith? God forbid: yea, we [v]establish the Law.
