Version
Psalm 1

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the Law of the LORD. And on His Law does he meditate day and night.

For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that will bring forth her fruits in due season; whose leaf shall not fade. So, whatever he shall do shall prosper.

The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind drives away.

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous. And the way of the wicked shall perish.

Proverbs 30:1-10

30 The prophecy the warrior spoke to Ithiel - to Ithiel and Ucal:

Surely, I am more foolish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man in me.

For I have not learned wisdom, nor attained to the knowledge of holy things.

Who has ascended up to Heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fist? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the world? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you can tell?

Every Word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who trust in Him.

Add nothing to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Two things have I required of you. Do not deny me them before I die.

Remove far from me vanity and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with food prescribed to me;

lest I be full and deny, saying, “Who is the LORD?” or lest I be poor and steal, and manipulate the Name of my God.

10 Do not accuse a servant to his master, lest he curse you and you are found guilty.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5

And I, brothers, when I came to you, came not with excellency of words, or of wisdom, showing to you the testimony of God.

For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

And I was among you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Neither my word nor my preaching was in the enticing speech of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

So that your faith would not be in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God.
