Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
8 Then King Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes (the chief fathers of the children of Israel) to him in Jerusalem, to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD from the City of David, which is Zion.
6 So, the priests brought the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD to its place, into the Oracle of the House, into the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the Cherubim.
10 And when the priests had come out of the Sanctuary, the cloud filled the House of the LORD,
11 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud. For the Glory of the LORD had filled the House of the LORD.
22 Then Solomon stood before the Altar of the LORD, in the sight of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands toward Heaven,
23 and said, “O LORD God of Israel! There is no God like You in Heaven above or on the Earth beneath, You Who keep Covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their heart;
24 “You Who have kept with Your servant David, my father, that You have promised him. For You spoke with Your Mouth and have fulfilled it with Your Hand, as it is this day.
25 “Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with Your servant David, my father, that You have promised him, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man in My sight to sit upon the throne of Israel, so that your children attend to their way, so that they walk before Me, as you have walked in My sight.’
26 “And now, O God of Israel, I pray, let Your Word be verified which You spoke to your servant David, my father.
27 “Is it indeed true that God will dwell on the Earth? Behold, the heavens, and the heavens of heavens, are not able to contain You! How much more so is this House that I have built?
28 “But have respect to the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hear the cry and prayer which Your servant prays before You this day!
29 “So that Your Eyes may be open toward this House, night and day, toward the place of which You have said, ‘My Name shall be there,’ so that You may listen to the prayer which Your servant prays in this place.
30 “Hear, therefore, the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, who pray in this place! And hear in the place of Your habitation, in Heaven! And when You hear, have mercy!
41 “Moreover, regarding the stranger who is not of Your people Israel, who shall come out of a far country for Your Name’s sake
42 “(when they shall hear of Your great Name and of Your mighty Hand and of Your outstretched Arm), and shall come and pray in this House,
43 “hear in Heaven (Your dwelling place) and do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the people of the Earth may know Your Name and fear You as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that Your Name is called upon in this House which I have built!
84 O LORD of Hosts, how lovely are Your Tabernacles!
2 My soul longs, indeed, and fainted for the courts of the LORD! My heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God!
3 Indeed, the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for her; where she may lay her young by Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your House. They will ever praise You. Selah.
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, in whose heart are Your ways.
6 They, going through the valley of Baca, make wells therein. The rain also covers the pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, until every one appears before God in Zion.
8 O, LORD God of Hosts, hear my prayer! Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah.
9 Behold, O God Our Shield, and look upon the face of Your Anointed.
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the House of my God than to dwell in the tabernacles of wickedness.
11 For the LORD God is the Sun and Shield. The LORD will give grace and glory; and He will withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly.
12 O, LORD of Hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You. To him who excels: A Psalm committed to the sons of Korah
10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceit of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the kings, against the authorities, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world; against the spiritual forces of iniquity which are in the high place.
13 For this reason take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on the evil day. And having finished all things, stand fast.
14 Stand therefore, having wrapped your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of Faith, with which you may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
18 And pray always, with all manner of prayer and supplication, in the Spirit. And watch for this very thing - with all perseverance and supplication - for all Saints
19 and for me; that a Word may be given to me, so that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the secret of the Gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in a chain. So that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.
56 “the one who eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, dwells in Me, and I in him.
57 “As the living Father has sent Me, so I live by the Father. And the one who feeds on Me, shall also live because of Me.
58 “This is the bread which came down from Heaven; not as your fathers have eaten Manna and are dead. The one who eats of this bread, shall live forever.”
59 These things He spoke in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
60 Therefore, many of His disciples (when they heard this) said, “This is a hard saying. Who can hear it?”
61 But Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, “Does this offend you?
62 “What if, then, you should see the Son of Man ascend up where He was before?
63 “It is the Spirit that quickens. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and life.
64 “But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him).
65 And He said, “Therefore I said to you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted to him by My Father.”
66 From that time, many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him.
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Will you also go away?”
68 Then Simon Peter answered Him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 “And we believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
