Psalm 89:20-37

20 I have found David my servant: with mine holy oil have I anointed him.

21 Therefore mine hand shall be established with him, and mine arm shall strengthen him.

22 The enemy shall not oppress him, neither shall the wicked hurt him.

23 But I will [a]destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

24 My truth also and my [b]mercy shall be with him, and in my Name shall his [c]horn be exalted.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the [d]floods.

26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my [e]Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my Covenant shall stand fast with him.

29 His seed also will I make to endure [f]forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

30 But if his children forsake my Law, and walk not in my judgments:

31 (A)If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.

33 [g]Yet my loving kindness will I not take from him, neither will I falsify my truth.

34 My Covenant will I not break, nor [h]alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

35 I have sworn once by mine holiness, [i]that I will not fail David, saying,

36 His seed shall endure forever, and his throne shall be as the sun before me.

37 He shall be established for evermore as the moon, and as a faithful [j]witness in the heaven. Selah.

1 Chronicles 11:15-19

15 ¶ And three of the [a]thirty captains went to a rock to David, into the cave of Adullam. And the army of the Philistines camped in the valley of Rephaim.

16 And when David was in the hold, the Philistines garrison was at Bethlehem.

17 And David longed, and said, (A)Oh, that one would give me to drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem that is at the gate.

18 Then these three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it for an oblation to the Lord,

19 And said, Let not my God suffer me to do this: should I drink the [b]blood of these men’s lives? for they have brought it with the jeopardy of their lives: therefore he would not drink it: these things did these three mighty men.

Colossians 1:15-23

15 [a]Who is the (A)image of the invisible God, [b]the first begotten of every creature.

16 (B)For by him were all things created which are in heaven, and which are in earth, things visible and invisible: whether they be [c]Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all things were created by him, and for him.

17 And he is before all things, and in him all things consist.

18 [d]And he is the head of the body of the Church: he is the beginning, (C)and the [e]first begotten of the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 (D)For it pleased the Father, that in him should [f]all fullness dwell.

20 [g]And through peace made by that blood of that his cross, to reconcile to himself through him, through him, I say, [h]all things, both which are in earth, and which are in heaven.

21 [i]And you which were in times past strangers and enemies, because your minds were set in evil works, hath [j]he now also reconciled,

22 In that body of his [k]flesh through death, to make you holy and unblameable, and without fault in his sight.

23 [l]If ye continue, grounded and established in the faith, and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel, whereof ye have heard, and which hath been preached to [m]every creature, which is under heaven, [n]whereof I Paul am a minister.
