Psalm 24

24 1 Albeit the Lord God hath made, and governeth all the world, yet toward his chosen people, his gracious goodness doth most abundantly appear, in that among them he will have his dwelling place.  Which thought it was appointed among the children of Abraham, yet only they do enter aright into this Sanctuary, which are the true worshippers of God, purged from the sinful filth of this world. 7 Finally he magnifieth God’s grace for the building of the Temple, to the end he might stir up all the faithful to the true service of God.

A Psalm of David.

The earth (A)is the Lord’s, and all that therein is; the world and they that dwell therein.

For he hath founded it upon the [a]seas; and established it upon the floods.

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord? and who shall stand in his holy place?

Even he that hath innocent hands, and a pure heart; which hath not lifted up his mind unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is the [b]generation of them that seek him, of them that seek thy face, this is Jacob. Selah.

[c]Lift up your heads ye gates, and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory? the Lord, strong and mighty, even the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, ye gates, and lift up yourselves ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? the Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Exodus 25:10-22

10 ¶ They shall make also an (A)Ark of Shittim wood, two cubits and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and a cubit and an half high.

11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a [a]crown of gold round about.

12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four [b]corners thereof: that is, two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side thereof.

13 And thou shalt make bars of Shittim wood, and cover them with gold.

14 Then thou shalt put the bars in the rings by the sides of the Ark, to bear the Ark with them.

15 The bars shall be in the rings of the Ark: they shall not be taken away from it.

16 So thou shalt put in the Ark the [c]Testimony, which I shall give thee.

17 Also thou shalt make a [d][e]Mercy seat of pure gold, two cubits and an half long and a cubit and an half broad.

18 And thou shalt make two Cherubims of gold: of work beaten out with the hammer shalt thou make them at the two ends of the Mercy seat.

19 And the one Cherub shalt thou make at the one end, and the other Cherub at the other end: of the matter of the Mercy seat shall ye make the Cherubims, on the two ends thereof.

20 And the Cherubims shall stretch their wings on high, covering the Mercy seat with their wings and their faces one to another: to the Mercy seatward shall the faces of the Cherubims be.

21 And thou shalt put the Mercy seat above upon the Ark, and in the Ark thou shalt put the Testimony, which I will give thee.

22 And there I will [f]declare myself unto thee, and from above the Mercy seat (B)between the two Cherubims, which are upon the Ark of the Testimony, I will tell thee all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Colossians 2:1-5

4 He condemneth, as vain, whatsoever is without Christ,  11 entreating specially of circumcision, 16 of abstinence from meats, 18 and of worshipping of Angels. 20 That we are delivered from the traditions of the Law through Christ.

For I [a]would ye knew what great fighting I have for your sakes, and for them of Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my [b]person in the flesh.

[c]That [d]their hearts might be comforted, and they knit together in love, and in all riches of the [e]full assurance of understanding, to know the mystery of God, even the Father, and of Christ:

In whom are hid all the treasures of [f]wisdom and knowledge.

[g]And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with [h]enticing words:

(A)For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your [i]order, and your [j]steadfast faith in Christ.
