21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 99

99 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble! He sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved!

The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the people.

Let them praise Thy great and fearsome name, for it is holy.

The King’s strength also loveth judgment; Thou dost establish equity; Thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool, for He is holy!

Moses and Aaron are among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name; they called upon the Lord, and He answered them.

He spoke unto them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies and the ordinance that He gave them.

Thou didst answer them, O Lord our God; Thou wast a God that forgavest them, though Thou took vengeance on their inventions.

Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

1 Samuel 2:11-17

11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child ministered unto the Lord before Eli the priest.

12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.

13 And the priests’ custom with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was boiling, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand.

14 And he struck it into the pan or kettle, or caldron or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites who came thither.

15 Also before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant came and said to the man who sacrificed, “Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have boiled flesh from thee, but raw.”

16 And if any man said unto him, “Let them not fail to burn the fat presently and then take as much as thy soul desireth,” then he would answer him, “Nay, but thou shalt give it to me now; and if not, I will take it by force.”

17 Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.

Romans 9:19-29

19 Thou wilt say then unto me, “Why doth He yet find fault, for who hath resisted His will?”

20 But nay, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, “Why hast thou made me thus?”

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay to make from the same lump one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor?

22 What if God, choosing to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted for destruction;

23 and this, that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, whom He had prepared before unto glory,

24 even us whom He hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

25 As He saith also in Hosea: “I will call them ‘My people,’ who were not My people, and ‘her beloved’ who was not beloved.”

26 And, “It shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, ‘Ye are not My people,’ there shall they be called the children of the living God.”

27 Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel: “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.

28 For He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.”

29 And as Isaiah said before: “Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we would have been as Sodom and been made like unto Gomorrah.”
