¹² Blessed is that nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen for His inheritance.

¹³ The LORD looks down from Heaven, beholding all the children of men.

¹⁴ From the habitation of His dwelling he beholds all those who dwell on the Earth.

¹⁵ He fashions their hearts, every one, understanding all their works.

¹⁶ The king is not saved by the multitude of an army; nor is the mighty man delivered by great strength.

¹⁷ A horse is a vain help and shall not deliver by his great strength.

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear Him, upon those who trust in His mercy

¹⁹ to deliver their souls from death and to preserve them in famine.

²⁰ Our soul waits for the LORD. He is our Help and our Shield.

²¹ Surely, our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we trusted in His Holy Name.

²² Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us. As we trusted in You. A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; who drove him away and he departed.

⁶ “Your right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O LORD, has bruised the enemy.

⁷ “And in Your great Glory You have overthrown those who rose against You. You sent forth Your wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

⁸ “And by the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered. The floods stood still as a heap. The depths congealed together in the heart of the sea.

⁹ “The enemy said, ‘I will pursue! I will overtake them! I will divide the spoil! My lust shall be satisfied by them. I will draw my sword. My hand shall destroy them!’

¹⁰ “You blew with Your wind. The sea covered them; they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

¹¹ “Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods! Who is like You—glorious in holiness, fearful in praises—doing wonders!

³⁷ Now, on the last day (the great day) of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink!

³⁸ “The one who believes in Me, as says the Scripture, ‘Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water’!”

³⁹ (He spoke this about the Spirit, Whom those who believed in Him were about to receive. For the Holy Ghost was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified.)
