Version
Psalm 33:12-22

12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord. Happy are the people He has chosen for His own.

13 The Lord looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men. 14 From where He sits He looks upon all who live on the earth. 15 He made the hearts of them all. And He understands whatever they do. 16 No king is saved by the power of his strong army. A soldier is not saved by great strength. 17 A horse cannot be trusted to win a battle. Its great strength cannot save anyone.

18 See, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, and on those who hope for His loving-kindness, 19 to save their soul from death, and to keep them alive when there is nothing to eat. 20 Our soul waits for the Lord. He is our help and our safe cover. 21 For our heart is full of joy in Him, because we trust in His holy name. 22 O Lord, let Your loving-kindness be upon us as we put our hope in You.

Exodus 15:6-11

O Lord, Your right hand is great in power. O Lord, Your right hand destroys those who hate You. In the greatness of Your power You destroy those who fight against You. You send Your burning anger and it burns them like straw. The waters were lifted up by Your breath. The flowing waters stood up like a wall. The water became hard in the middle of the sea. Those who hated us said, ‘I will go after them. I will catch them. I will divide the riches taken from them. My soul will have its way against them. I will take out my sword and my hand will destroy them.’ 10 You, Lord, blew with Your wind and the sea covered them. They went down like iron in the powerful sea. 11 Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, great and holy, praised in fear, doing powerful works?

John 7:37-39

Jesus Promises to Give the Holy Spirit

37 It was the last and great day of the religious gathering. Jesus stood up and spoke with a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 The Holy Writings say that rivers of living water will flow from the heart of the one who puts his trust in Me.” 39 Jesus said this about the Holy Spirit Who would come to those who put their trust in Him. The Holy Spirit had not yet been given. Jesus had not yet been raised to the place of honor.
