Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
118 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever!
2 Let Israel now say, “His mercy endures forever!”
19 Open the gates of righteousness to me, so that I may go into them and praise the LORD.
20 This is the gate of the LORD. The righteous shall enter into it.
21 I will praise You; for You have heard me and have been my deliverance.
22 The Stone which the builders refused is the Head of the Corner.
23 This was the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes,
24 This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
25 O LORD, I beg You, save now! O LORD, I beg You, give prosperity now!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the LORD! We have blessed you out of the House of the LORD.
27 The LORD is mighty and has given us light. Bind the sacrifice to the horns of the altar with cords.
28 You are my God, and I will praise You! You are my God; therefore, I will exalt You!
29 Praise the LORD because He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
33 Moreover, the Word of the LORD came to Jeremiah a second time (while he was still shut up in the court of prison) saying,
2 “Thus says the LORD its maker, the LORD Who formed it and established it. The LORD is His Name:
3 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.’
4 “For thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are destroyed by the siege mounts and by the sword:
5 ‘They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill themselves with the dead bodies of men whom I have slain in My anger and in My wrath. For I have hidden My Face from this city because of all their wickedness.
6 ‘Behold, I will give it health and healing. For I will cure them and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
7 ‘And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return and will build them as at first.
8 ‘And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me. Yea, I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me, and by which they have rebelled against Me.
9 ‘And it shall be to Me a Name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the Earth, which shall hear all the good that I do to them. And they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the wealth that I show to this city.’
12 Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me - not only in my presence, but now much more so in my absence - work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God who works in you - both in your will and in your works - according to His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
15 so that you may be blameless and pure children of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a perverted and crooked nation (among whom you shine as lights in the world).
16 Hold forth the Word of life, so that I may rejoice on the day of Christ that I have not run for nothing or labored for nothing.
17 Indeed, and though I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all!
18 And likewise also, you be glad and rejoice with me!
