Psalm 84

84 How amiable are Thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Yea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young” even Thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.

Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house; they will be ever praising Thee. Selah

Blessed is the man whose strength is in Thee, in whose heart are Thy ways,

who passing through the Valley of Baca makes it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

They go from strength to strength; every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of Thine anointed.

10 For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee!

1 Kings 6:1-4

And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord.

And the house which King Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

And the porch in front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house, and ten cubits was the breadth thereof in front of the house.

And for the house he made windows broad within and narrow without.

1 Kings 6:21-22

21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold; and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle, and he overlaid it with gold.

22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house; also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

1 Corinthians 3:10-23

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For no man can lay another foundation than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble,

13 every man’s work shall be made manifest; for the Day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall test every man’s work of what sort it is.

14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as fire.

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, and ye are that temple.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: “He taketh the wise in their own craftiness”;

20 and again, “The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.”

21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours,

22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come — all are yours,

23 and ye are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.
