⁸ Also, God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,

⁹ “Behold, I, even I, establish My Covenant with you, and with your seed after you,

¹⁰ “and with every living creature that is with you — with the fowl, with the cattle, and with every beast of the Earth with you — from all that go out of the Ark, to every beast of the Earth.

¹¹ “And I will establish My Covenant with you, so that from henceforth all flesh shall not be rooted out by the waters of the Flood; nor shall there be a Flood to destroy the Earth anymore.”

¹² Then God said, “This is the sign of the Covenant which I make between Me and you, and between every living thing that is with you, to perpetual generations.

¹³ “I have set My bow in the cloud; and it shall be for a sign of the Covenant between the Earth and Myself.

¹⁴ “And when I shall cover the Earth with a cloud, and the bow shall be seen in the cloud,

¹⁵ “then I will remember My Covenant which is between Me and you, and between every living thing in all flesh. And there shall be no more waters of a Flood to destroy all flesh.

¹⁶ “Therefore, the bow shall be in the cloud, so that I may see it and remember the everlasting Covenant between God and every living thing, in all flesh that is upon the Earth.”

¹⁷ God also said to Noah, “This is the sign of the Covenant which I have established between all flesh that is upon the Earth and Myself.”

25 To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.

² My God, I trust in You. Let me not be confounded. Do not let my enemies rejoice over me.

³ So all who hope in You shall not be ashamed. Let those who transgress without cause be confounded.

⁴ Show me Your ways, O LORD, and teach me Your paths.

⁵ Lead me forth in Your truth and teach me. For You are the God of my salvation. In You do I trust, all the day.

⁶ Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies, and Your lovingkindness. For they have been forever.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my rebellions. But according to Your kindness remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.

⁸ Gracious and righteous are the LORD. Therefore, He will teach sinners in the way.

⁹ Those who are meek, He will guide in judgment and teach the humble His way.

¹⁰ All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

¹⁸ For Christ also has suffered once for sins - the Just for the unjust - so that He might bring us to God; being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

¹⁹ by Whom He also went and preached to the spirits in prison.

²⁰ They were disobedient in the past, when once more the patience of God awaited in the days of Noah while the Ark was being prepared (in which few - that is, eight - souls were saved in the water).

²¹ This is now represented by baptism, which is not a putting away of the filth of the flesh, but an appeal to God, made with a good conscience. This also rescues us by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

²² Who is at the right hand of God, gone into Heaven, to Whom the angels and powers and might are subject.

⁹ And it happened that in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth (a city of Galilee) and was baptized by John in Jordan.

¹⁰ And as soon as He had come out of the water, John saw the heavens torn apart, and the Holy Ghost descending upon Him like a dove.

¹¹ Then there was a voice from Heaven, saying, “You are My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.”

¹² And immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.

¹³ And He was there in the wilderness forty days and was tempted by Satan. He was also with the wild beasts. And the angels ministered to Him.

¹⁴ Now after John was committed to prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,

¹⁵ and saying, “The time is fulfilled! And the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent and believe the Gospel!”
