25 Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul;

² O my God, I trust in Thee. Let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.

³ Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed; let them be ashamed that transgress without cause.

⁴ Show me Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths.

⁵ Lead me in Thy truth and teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; on Thee do I wait all the day.

⁶ Remember, O Lord, Thy tender mercies and Thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

⁷ Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.

⁸ Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He teach sinners in the way.

⁹ The meek will He guide in judgment, and the meek will He teach His way.

¹⁰ All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, unto them that keep His covenant and His testimonies.

¹⁵ “And now, O Lord our God, who hast brought Thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast made Thee a name, as at this day — we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

¹⁶ O Lord, according to all Thy righteousness, I beseech Thee, let Thine anger and Thy fury be turned away from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mountain; because for our sins and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy people have become a reproach to all who are about us.

¹⁷ “Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of Thy servant and his supplications, and cause Thy face to shine upon Thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

¹⁸ O my God, incline Thine ear and hear. Open Thine eyes and behold our desolations and the city which is called by Thy name; for we do not present our supplications before Thee because of our righteousnesses, but because of Thy great mercies.

¹⁹ O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hearken and do! Defer not, for Thine own sake, O my God; for Thy city and Thy people are called by Thy name.”

²⁰ And while I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God—

²¹ yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

²² And he informed me, and talked with me and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

²³ At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth; and I have come to show thee, for thou art greatly beloved. Therefore understand the matter, and heed the vision:

²⁴ “Seventy weeks are determined concerning thy people and concerning thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

²⁵ Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.

4 I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom:

² preach the Word; be instant in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

³ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts.

⁴ And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned toward fables.

⁵ But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry.
