Version
Psalm 102:12-28

12 But You, O Lord, [a](A)abide forever,
And Your [b](B)name to all generations.
13 You will (C)arise and have (D)compassion on Zion;
For (E)it is time to be gracious to her,
For the (F)appointed time has come.
14 Surely Your servants [c]find pleasure in her stones
And feel pity for her dust.
15 [d]So the [e](G)nations will fear the name of the Lord
And (H)all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For the Lord has (I)built up Zion;
He has (J)appeared in His glory.
17 He has (K)regarded the prayer of the [f]destitute
And has not despised their prayer.

18 [g]This will be (L)written for the (M)generation to come,
[h]That (N)a people yet to be created [i]may praise [j]the Lord.
19 For He (O)looked down from His holy height;
(P)From heaven the Lord gazed [k]upon the earth,
20 To hear the (Q)groaning of the prisoner,
To (R)set free [l]those who were doomed to death,
21 That men may (S)tell of the name of the Lord in Zion
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When (T)the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

23 He has weakened my strength in the way;
He has (U)shortened my days.
24 I say, “O my God, (V)do not take me away in the [m]midst of my days,
Your (W)years are throughout all generations.
25 “Of old You (X)founded the earth,
And the (Y)heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 [n]Even they will (Z)perish, but You endure;
And all of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
27 “But You are [o](AA)the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.
28 “The (AB)children of Your servants will continue,
And their [p](AC)descendants will be established before You.”

2 Kings 4:8-17

The Shunammite Woman

Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to (A)Shunem, where there was a [a]prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat [b]food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat [c]food. She said to her husband, “Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy (B)man of God passing by us continually. 10 Please, let us (C)make a little walled upper chamber and let us set a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he can turn in there.”

11 [d]One day he came there and turned in to the upper chamber and [e]rested. 12 Then he said to (D)Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite.” And when he had called her, she stood before him. 13 He said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Behold, you have been [f]careful for us with all this [g]care; what can I do for you? Would you be spoken for to the king or to the captain of the army?’” And she [h]answered, “I live among my own people.” 14 So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi [i]answered, “Truly she has no son and her husband is old.” 15 He said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. 16 Then he said, “(E)At this season [j]next year you will embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord, O man of God, (F)do not lie to your maidservant.”

17 The woman conceived and bore a son at that season [k]the next year, as Elisha had said to her.

2 Kings 4:32-37

32 When Elisha came into the house, behold the lad was dead and laid on his bed. 33 So he entered and (A)shut the door behind them both and prayed to the Lord. 34 And (B)he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth and his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands, and he stretched himself on him; and the flesh of the child became warm. 35 Then he returned and walked in the house once back and forth, and went up and (C)stretched himself on him; and the lad sneezed seven times and the lad opened his eyes. 36 He called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite.” So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, “Take up your son.” 37 Then she went in and fell at his feet and bowed herself to the ground, and (D)she took up her son and went out.

Acts 14:1-7

Acceptance and Opposition

14 In (A)Iconium (B)they entered the synagogue of the Jews together, and spoke in such a manner (C)that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of (D)Greeks. But (E)the Jews who [a](F)disbelieved stirred up the [b]minds of the Gentiles and embittered them against (G)the brethren. Therefore they spent a long time there (H)speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that [c](I)signs and wonders be done by their hands. (J)But the [d]people of the city were divided; and some [e]sided with (K)the Jews, and some with (L)the apostles. And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and (M)the Jews with their rulers, to mistreat and to (N)stone them, they became aware of it and fled to the cities of (O)Lycaonia, (P)Lystra and (Q)Derbe, and the surrounding region; and there they continued to (R)preach the gospel.
