Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
111 I will praise the LORD with my whole heart in the assembly and the congregation of the Just.
2 The works of the LORD are great and are sought out by all those who love them.
3 His work is beautiful and glorious; and His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonderful works to be held in remembrance. The LORD is merciful and full of compassion.
5 He has given a portion to those who fear Him. He will be ever-mindful of His Covenant.
6 He has shown the power of His works to His people, in giving to them the heritage of the heathen.
7 The works of His hands are truth and judgment. All His statutes are true.
8 They are established forever and ever and are done in truth and equity.
9 He sent redemption to His people. He has commanded His Covenant forever. Holy and fearful is His Name.
10 The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD. All those who observe them have good understanding. His praise endures forever. Praise the LORD
28 “Hear and obey all these words which I command you, so that it may go well with you and with your children after you, forever, when you do that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God
29 “and when the LORD your God shall destroy the nations before you, wherever you go to possess them. And you shall possess them and dwell in their land.
30 “Beware, lest you be ensnared after them — after they are destroyed before you — and lest you ask after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods, so that I may do likewise?’
31 “You shall not do so to the LORD your God. For they have done to their gods all abomination which the LORD hates. They have burned both their sons and their daughters with fire to their gods.
32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to do it. You shall add nothing to it or take anything from it.”
12 “And to the angel of the Church which is at Pergamos write: ‘Thus says He Who has that sharp sword with two edges,
13 ‘I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan’s throne is. And you keep My Name, and have not denied My faith; even in those days when Antipas, My faithful martyr, was slain among you where Satan dwells.
14 “But I have a few things against you because you have those there who maintain the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel so that they would eat of things sacrificed to idols and commit fornication.
15 Even so, you have those who maintain the doctrine of the Nicolaitans (which I hate).
16 Repent, or else I will come to you shortly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
17 “Let he who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the Churches. To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden; and will give him a white stone; and in the stone a new name written, which no one knows except he who receives it.
