Praise for the Lord’s Works

Hallelujah![a]
I will praise the Lord with all my heart

The Lord’s works are great,
studied by all who delight in them.(B)
All that he does is splendid and majestic;(C)
his righteousness endures forever.(D)
He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered.(E)
The Lord is gracious and compassionate.(F)
He has provided food for those who fear him;(G)
he remembers his covenant forever.(H)
He has shown his people the power of his works
by giving them the inheritance of the nations.(I)
The works of his hands are truth and justice;
all his instructions are trustworthy.(J)
They are established forever and ever,
enacted in truth and in uprightness.(K)
He has sent redemption to his people.(L)
He has ordained his covenant forever.
His name is holy and awe-inspiring.(M)

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;(N)
all who follow his instructions[b] have good insight.(O)
His praise endures forever.(P)

Deuteronomy 12:28-32

28 Be careful to obey all these things I command you, so that you and your children after you may prosper forever, because you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.

29 “When the Lord your God annihilates the nations before you,(A) which you are entering to take possession of,(B) and you drive them out and live in their land, 30 be careful not to be ensnared by their ways(C) after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, ‘How did these nations worship their gods? I’ll also do the same.’ 31 You must not do the same to the Lord your God, because they practice every detestable act, which the Lord hates, for their gods. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. 32 Be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.(D)

Revelation 2:12-17

The Letter to Pergamum

12 “Write to the angel of the church in Pergamum: Thus says the one who has the sharp, double-edged sword: (A) 13 I know[a] where you live—where Satan’s throne is. Yet you are holding on to my name and did not deny your faith in me,[b](B) even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness(C) who was put to death among you, where Satan lives. 14 But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam,(D) who taught Balak to place a stumbling block[c] in front of the Israelites: to eat meat sacrificed to idols(E) and to commit sexual immorality.(F) 15 In the same way, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.[d] 16 So repent! Otherwise, I will come to you quickly(G) and fight against them with the sword of my mouth.(H)

17 “Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give some of the hidden manna.[e](I) I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name(J) is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.
