Isaiah 64:1-9

64 Oh, that You would break the heavens and come down, that the mountains might melt at Your presence!

As the melting fire burned, the fire caused the waters to boil, (so that You might declare Your Name to Your adversaries) the people trembled at Your presence.

When You did terrible things, which we did not look for, You came down and the mountains melted at Your presence.

For since the beginning of the world, they have neither heard nor understood with the ear. Nor has the eye seen another God beside You Who does so to him who waits for Him.

You met him who rejoiced and did justly. They remembered You in Your ways. Behold, You are angry, for we have sinned, continually. Yet, we shall be saved.

For we have all been as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness as filthy cloths. And we all fade like a leaf. And our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

And there is no one who calls upon Your Name, or who stirs himself up to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your Face from us, and have consumed us because of our iniquities.

But now, O LORD, You are our Father. We are the clay and You are our Potter. And we all are the work of Your Hands.

Do not be angry above measure, O LORD, or remember iniquity forever. Lo, we beg You. Behold, we are all Your people.

Psalm 80:1-7

80 Hear, O You Shepherd of Israel, You Who leads Joseph like sheep. Show Your brightness, You Who sits between the Cherubims.

Stir up Your strength before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh and come to help us.

Turn us again, O God, and cause Your face to shine, so that we may be saved.

O LORD God of Hosts, how long will You be angry against the prayer of Your people?

You have fed them with the bread of tears and given them tears to drink with great measure.

You have made us a point of contention to our neighbors; and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.

Turn us again, O God of Hosts. Cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Psalm 80:17-19

17 Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, and upon the son of man whom You made strong for Your own self,

18 so we will not go back from You. Revive us, and we shall call upon Your Name.

19 Turn us again, O LORD God of Hosts! Cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved. To him who excels upon Gittith: A Psalm committed to Asaph

1 Corinthians 1:3-9

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God which is given you in Jesus Christ.

That in all things you are made rich in Him in every expression and in all knowledge.

As the testimony of Jesus Christ has been confirmed in you.

So that you are not deficient in any gift, awaiting the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who shall also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful; by Whom you are called to the fellowship of his son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mark 13:24-37

24 “Moreover, in those days, after that tribulation, the Sun shall grow dark. And the Moon shall not give her light.

25 “And the stars of Heaven shall fall. And the powers which are in Heaven shall shake.

26 “And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and Glory.

27 “And then He shall send his angels and shall gather together His Elect from the four winds and from the utmost part of the Earth to the utmost part of Heaven.

28 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When her branch is still tender, and it brings forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

29 “So, in like manner, when you see these things happen, know that the Kingdom of God is near, even at the doors.

30 “Truly I say to you that this generation shall not pass till all these things are done.

31 “Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

32 “But of that day and hour knows no one. No, not the angels who are in Heaven, nor the Son Himself, but the Father.

33 “Beware. Watch. And pray. For you do not know when the time is.

34 “For the Son of Man is as a man who goes into a strange country and leaves his house, and gives authority to his servants, and to everyone his work, and commands the doorman to watch.

35 Watch, therefore. For you do not know when the master of the house will come - at evening or at midnight, at the cock crowing or in the dawning.

36 Lest, if he comes suddenly, he should find you sleeping.

37 And these things that I say to you, I say to all. Watch.
