Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
100 Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the Earth!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before Him with joyfulness!
3 Know that the LORD is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, into His courts with rejoicing. Give Him thanks. Praise Him; and bless His Name.
5 For the LORD is good. His mercy is everlasting; and His truth is from generation to generation. A Psalm of David
40 “Comfort! Comfort My people,” says your God.
2 “Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry to her, so that her warfare is accomplished, and that her iniquity is pardoned. For she has received double from the LORD’s Hand for all her sins.”
3 A voice cries in the wilderness, “Prepare the way of the LORD! Make straight a path for our God in the desert!
4 “Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill shall be made low. And the crooked shall be straight and the rough places level.
5 “And the Glory of the LORD shall be revealed. And all flesh shall see it together. For the Mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”
6 A voice said, “Cry!” And he said, “What shall I cry? All flesh is grass and all its beauty as the flowers of the field.
7 “The grass withers, the flower fades, because the Spirit of the LORD blows upon it. Surely, the people are grass.
8 “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God shall stand forever.”
9 O Zion, that brings good tidings, get yourself up into the high mountain. O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, lift up your voice with strength! Lift it up! Do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”
10 Behold, the LORD God will come with power. And His Arm shall rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.
11 He shall feed His flock like a shepherd. He shall gather the lambs with His Arm and carry them in His Bosom and shall guide those with young.
22 And he showed me a pure river of water of life - clear as crystal - proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it - and on either side of the river - was the Tree of Life, which bore twelve kinds of fruits and gave fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree served to heal the nations.
3 And there shall no longer be any curse. But the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
4 And they shall see His face. And His Name shall be on their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there. And they need no lamp, nor light of the Sun. For the Lord God gives them Light. And they shall reign forevermore.
6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy Prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly be fulfilled.
7 “Behold, I come shortly. Blessed is he who keeps the Words of the Prophecy of this Book.”
8 And I am John, who saw and heard these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9 But he said to me, “See that you do not do it. For I am your fellow servant; and of your brothers, the Prophets; and of those who keep the Words of this Book. Worship God.”
