Psalm 99

99 The LORD reigns! Let the people tremble. He sits between the Cherubims. Let the Earth be moved!

The LORD is great in Zion; and He is high above all the people.

They shall praise Your great and fearful Name (It is Holy).

Also, the King’s power loves judgment. You establish equity. You have executed judgment and justice in Jacob.

Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His footstool. He is Holy.

Moses and Aaron were among His Priests, and Samuel among such as call upon His Name. These called upon the LORD and He heard them.

He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar. They kept His testimonies, the Law which He gave them.

You heard them, O LORD our God. You were a favorable God to them, though You took vengeance for their evil deeds.

Exalt the LORD our God and bow down before His Holy Mountain; for the LORD our God is Holy. A Psalm of praise

Exodus 39:32-43

32 Thus, all the work of the Tabernacle — of the Tabernacle of the Congregation — was finished. And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses. So they did.

33 Afterward, they brought the Tabernacle to Moses, the Tabernacle and all its instruments: its taches, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets,

34 the covering of rams’ skins (dyed red), the coverings of badgers’ skins, the covering veil,

35 the Ark of the Testimony and its poles, the Mercy Seat,

36 the Table with all its instruments, the Showbread,

37 the pure Lampstand and its Lamps (the Lamps set in order, all its instruments, and the oil for light),

38 the golden Altar and the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the hanging of the Tabernacle door,

39 the copper Altar with its grate of copper, its bars and all its instruments, the Basin and its Pedestal.

40 The curtains of the court with its pillars, and its sockets, and the hanging to the court gate, its cords, its pegs, and all the instruments of the service of the Tabernacle (the Tabernacle of the Congregation).

41 the ministering garments to serve in the Sanctuary — the holy garments for Aaron the Priest and his sons’ garments — to minister in the Priest’s office.

42 According to every point that the LORD had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel make all the work.

43 And Moses inspected all the work. And behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded. So they had done. And Moses blessed them.

Matthew 14:1-12

14 At that time, Herod the Tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

and said to his servants, “This is that John Baptist! He has risen again from the dead! And therefore, great works are done by him!”

For Herod had taken John and bound him, and put him in prison because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.

For John said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”

And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a Prophet.

But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

Therefore, he promised with an oath that he would give her whatever she would ask.

And she (having already been instructed by her mother) said, “Give me John Baptist’s head here, on a platter.”

And the king was sorry. Nevertheless, because of the oath, and those who sat with him at the table, he commanded it to be given to her;

10 and sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought, on a platter, and given to the maid. And she brought it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
