2 And the whole Congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron, in the wilderness.
3 For the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate bread, our bellies full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness, to kill this whole company with famine.”
4 Then, the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will cause bread to rain from Heaven to you. And the people shall go out and gather that which is sufficient for each day, so that I may test them (whether they will walk in My law or not).
5 “But, on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they shall bring home; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”
6 Then, Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, “At evening, you shall know that the LORD brought you out of the land of Egypt.
7 “And in the morning, you shall see the Glory of the LORD. For He has heard your complaints against the LORD. And what are we, that you have murmured against us?”
8 Again, Moses said, “At evening, the LORD shall give you meat to eat, and in the morning your fill of bread. For the LORD has heard your murmurings which you murmur against Him. For what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.”
9 And Moses said to Aaron, “Say to all the Congregation of the children of Israel, ‘Draw near before the LORD. For He has heard your murmurings.’”
10 Now, as Aaron spoke to the whole Congregation of the children of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness. And behold, the Glory of the LORD appeared in a cloud.
11 (For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying,
12 “I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Therefore, tell them and say, ‘At evening you shall eat meat; and in the morning you shall be filled with bread.’ And you shall know that I am the LORD your God).
13 And so, at evening, the quails came and covered the camp. And in the morning, the dew lay all around the camp.
14 And when the dew that had fallen had lifted, behold, a small round flakey thing was upon the face of the wilderness, small as the frost upon the earth.
15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.
105 Praise the LORD! Call upon His Name! Declare His works among the people!
2 Sing to Him! Sing praise to Him! Talk of all His wondrous works!
3 Rejoice in His Holy Name! Let the heart of those who seek the LORD, rejoice!
4 Seek the LORD and His strength. Seek His face continually.
5 Remember His marvelous works that He has done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth
6 you seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob who are His Elect.
37 He also brought them forth with silver and gold, and there was no one feeble among their tribes.
38 Egypt was glad at their departing, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a cloud to be a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 They asked, and He brought quails; and He filled them with the bread of Heaven.
41 He opened the rock and the water flowed out and ran like a river in the dry places.
42 For He remembered His Holy Promise to Abraham, His servant.
43 And He brought forth His people with joy and his chosen with gladness,
44 and gave them the lands of the heathen. And they took the labors of the people in possession,
45 so that they might keep His statutes and observe His Laws. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD
21 For, to me, Christ is life and death is gain.
22 But if living in the flesh brings fruit from my labor, what shall I choose? I do not know!
23 For I am caught between both desiring to be released and to be with Christ (which is best of all).
24 Nevertheless, to abide in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
25 And of this I am sure: that I shall stay and continue with you all for the progress and joy of your faith,
26 so that by my coming to you again your boasting in Jesus Christ may abound through me.
27 Only conduct yourselves as it becomes the Gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your matters that you continue in one spirit and in one mind, striving together for the faith of the Gospel.
28 And be frightened in nothing by your adversaries (which is to them a proof of destruction - but to you of salvation - and this from God!).
29 For to you it is given concerning Christ that not only should you believe in Him, but also to suffer concerning Him,
30 having the same fight which you saw in me and now hear of in me.
20 “For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain landowner, who went out at the dawning of the day to hire laborers into his vineyard.
2 “And he agreed with the laborers for a penny a day and sent them into his vineyard.
3 “And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 “and said to them, ‘You go into my vineyard also. And whatever is right, I will give you.’ And they went their way.
5 “Again, he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 “And he went about the eleventh hour, and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’
7 “They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You go into my vineyard also. And whatever is right, that shall you receive.’
8 “And when evening had come, the master of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning at the last, till you come to the first.’
9 “And those who were hired about the eleventh hour, came. And each received a penny.
10 “Now when the first came, they assumed that they would receive more. But each of them also received a penny.
11 “And when they had received it, they murmured against the master of the house,
12 “saying, ‘These last have only worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and heat of the day!’
13 “And he answered one of them, saying, ‘Friend, I do you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a penny?
14 ‘Take that which is yours and go your way. I will give to this last as much as to you.
15 ‘Is it not lawful for me to do as I will with my own? Is your eye evil because I am good?’
16 “So the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.”
