Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Remember His Wondrous Deeds
105 Oh (A)give thanks to Yahweh, (B)call upon His name;
(C)Make known His acts among the peoples.
2 Sing to Him, (D)sing praises to Him;
(E)Muse on all His wondrous deeds.
3 Boast in His holy name;
Let the (F)heart of those who seek Yahweh be glad.
4 Inquire of Yahweh and (G)His strength;
(H)Seek His face continually.
5 Remember His (I)wondrous deeds which He has done,
His miracles and the (J)judgments [a]uttered by His mouth,
6 O seed of (K)Abraham, His servant,
O sons of (L)Jacob, His (M)chosen ones!
37 Then He brought them out with (A)silver and gold,
And there was none among His tribes who stumbled.
38 Egypt was (B)glad when they went out,
For the (C)dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a (D)cloud for a [a]covering,
And (E)fire to give light by night.
40 [b]They (F)asked, and He brought (G)quail,
And He satisfied them with the [c](H)bread of heaven.
41 He opened the [d]rock and (I)water flowed out;
[e]It ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For He (J)remembered His holy word
With Abraham His servant;
43 And He brought His people out with joy,
His chosen ones with a shout of (K)joy.
44 He (L)gave them also the lands of the [f]nations,
That they (M)might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,
45 So that they might (N)keep His statutes
And observe His laws,
[g]Praise Yah!
Yahweh Gives Bread for Two Days
22 (A)Now it happened that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. Then all the (B)leaders of the congregation came and told Moses. 23 And he said to them, “This is what Yahweh has spoken: (C)Tomorrow is a sabbath observance, a holy sabbath to Yahweh. Bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and (D)all that is in excess [a]put aside to be kept until morning.” 24 So they [b]put it aside until morning, as Moses had commanded, and (E)it did not become foul nor was there any worm in it. 25 And Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a sabbath to Yahweh; today you will not find it in the field. 26 (F)Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the sabbath, there will be [c]none.”
27 Now it happened on the seventh day, that some of the people went out to gather, but they found none. 28 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “(G)How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My [d]laws? 29 See, Yahweh has given you the sabbath; therefore He gives you bread for two days on the sixth day. Remain every man in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
23 And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, (A)it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, (B)it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 And when the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then who can be saved?” 26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “(C)With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Many Who Are First Will Be Last
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?” 28 And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when (D)the Son of Man will sit on [a]His glorious throne, (E)you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And (F)everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother [b]or children or farms for My name’s sake, will receive [c]one hundred times as much, and will inherit eternal life. 30 (G)But many who are first will be last; and the last, first.
