Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 “This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be to you the first month of the year.
3 “Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth of this month, let every man take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his fathers, a lamb for each household.
4 ‘And if the household is too small for the lamb, he and his neighbor (who is next to his house) shall take one, according to the number of people. You shall divide the lamb according to each man’s eating.
5 ‘Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of a year old. You shall take it from the lambs or from the kids.
6 ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month. Then all the multitude of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.
7 ‘Afterward, they shall take from the blood and strike it on the two side posts, and on the lintels, of the houses where they shall eat it.
8 ‘And they shall eat the flesh that same night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. With sour herbs they shall eat it.
9 ‘Do not eat any of it raw or boiled at all in water, but roasted with fire (its head, its feet, and its entrails).
10 ‘And you shall reserve nothing of it until the morning. But that which remains of it in the morning you shall burn with fire.
11 ‘And thus shall you eat it: with a belt around your waist, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.
12 ‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt the same night and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and I will execute judgment upon all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.
13 ‘And the blood shall be a sign for you upon the houses where you are. So, when I see the blood, I will pass over you. And the plague shall not be upon you, to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
14 ‘And this day shall be to you a remembrance. And you shall keep it a holy Feast to the LORD, throughout your generations. You shall keep it holy by an ordinance, forever.
149 Sing to the LORD a new song! Let His praise be heard in the congregation of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in Him Who made him; and let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.
3 Let them praise His Name with the flute. Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the LORD has pleasure in His people. He will make the meek glorious by deliverance.
5 Let the saints be joyful with glory! Let them sing loud upon their beds.
6 Let the high acts of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hands —
7 to execute vengeance upon the heathen and corrections among the people,
8 to bind their kings in chains and their nobles with fetters of iron —
9 so that they may execute upon them the judgment that is written. This honor shall be to all His saints. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD.
8 Owe nothing to anyone, except to be loving one another. For the one who loves another has fulfilled the Law.
9 For these: ‘You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet’ - as well as any other Commandment - are summed up in this saying, namely, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’.
10 Love does no evil to his neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
11 And this also we know (considering the season): that now is the time that we should arise from sleep. For our salvation is nearer now than when we believed it.
12 The night is past, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast away the works of darkness. And let us put on the armor of light,
13 so that we walk honestly (as in the day), not in gluttony and drunkenness, nor in promiscuity and lewdness, nor in strife and envying.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ. And take no thought for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts of it.
15 “Moreover, if your brother trespasses against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have won your brother.
16 “But if he does not hear you, take one or two with you. So that, by the mouths of two or three witnesses, every word may be confirmed.
17 “And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to hear the church also, let him be as a heathen and a tax collector to you.
18 “Truly I say to you that whatever you bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven. And whatever you release on Earth, shall be released in Heaven.
19 “Again, truly I say to you that if two of you shall agree on Earth upon anything, whatever they shall desire shall be given to them by My Father Who is in Heaven.
20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there I am in the midst of them.”
