Exodus 3:1-15

Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the back side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

And Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”

And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses.” And he said, “Here am I.”

And He said, “Draw not nigh hither. Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.”

Moreover He said, “I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

And the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey, unto the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites, and the Amorites and the Perizzites, and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Now therefore behold, the cry of the children of Israel hath come unto Me, and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

11 And Moses said unto God, “Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

12 And He said, “Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.”

13 And Moses said unto God, “Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel and shall say unto them, ‘The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you,’ and they shall say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say unto them?”

14 And God said unto Moses, “I Am That I Am.” And He said, “Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, ‘I Am hath sent me unto you.’”

15 And God said moreover unto Moses, “Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob hath sent me unto you.’ This is My name for ever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.

Psalm 105:1-6

105 O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the people.

Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him; talk ye of all His wondrous works.

Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore.

Remember His marvelous works that He hath done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth,

O ye seed of Abraham, His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen.

Psalm 105:23-26

23 Israel also came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 And He increased His people greatly, and made them stronger than their enemies.

25 He turned their heart to hate His people and to deal subtly with His servants.

26 He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.

Psalm 105:45

45 that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise ye the Lord!

Romans 12:9-21

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 Have kindly affection one for another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another;

11 not slothful in business; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer;

13 distributing to the necessity of saints, given to hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and curse not.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,saith the Lord.”

20 Therefore: “If thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink. For in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 16:21-28

21 From that time forth began Jesus to show unto His disciples that He must go unto Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

22 Then Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Be it far from Thee, Lord; this shall not happen unto Thee.”

23 But He turned and said unto Peter, “Get thee behind Me, Satan! Thou art an offense unto Me; for thou savorest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”

24 Then Jesus said unto His disciples, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

28 Verily I say unto you, there are some standing here who shall not taste of death till they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.”
