105 Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.

² Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.

³ Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

⁴ Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

⁵ Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:

⁶ Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

⁷ He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

⁸ He is ever mindful of his covenant,—the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,—

⁹ Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

¹⁰ And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹¹ Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

⁴⁵ That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!

29 And Jacob continued his journey, and went into the land of the children of the east.

² And he looked, and behold, there was a well in the fields, and behold there, three flocks of sheep were lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a great stone was at the mouth of the well.

³ And when all the flocks were gathered there, they rolled the stone from the mouth of the well, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again on the mouth of the well in its place.

⁴ And Jacob said to them, My brethren, whence are ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

⁵ And he said to them, Do ye know Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We do know [him].

⁶ And he said to them, Is he well? And they said, [He is] well; and behold, there comes Rachel his daughter with the sheep.

⁷ And he said, Behold, it is yet high day; it is not time that the cattle should be gathered together; water the sheep, and go, feed [them].

⁸ And they said, We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together, and they roll the stone from the mouth of the well, and we water the sheep.

¹⁴ Not [as] chiding do I write these things to you, but as my beloved children I admonish [you].

¹⁵ For if ye should have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus *I* have begotten you through the glad tidings.

¹⁶ I entreat you therefore, be my imitators.

¹⁷ For this reason I have sent to you Timotheus, who is my beloved and faithful child in [the] Lord, who shall put you in mind of my ways [as] they [are] in Christ, according as I teach everywhere in every assembly.

¹⁸ But some have been puffed up, as if I were not coming to you;

¹⁹ but I will come quickly to you, if the Lord will; and I will know, not the word of those that are puffed up, but the power.

²⁰ For the kingdom of God [is] not in word, but in power.
