21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 31:1-5

31 In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Thy righteousness.

Bow down Thine ear to me, deliver me speedily; be Thou my strong rock, a house of defense to save me.

For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for the sake of Thy name, lead me and guide me.

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me, for Thou art my strength.

Into Thine hand I commit my spirit; Thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

Psalm 31:15-16

15 My times are in Thy hand; deliver me from the hand of mine enemies and from them that persecute me.

16 Make Thy face to shine upon Thy servant; save me for Thy mercies’ sake.

Jeremiah 26:20-24

20 And there was also a man who prophesied in the name of the Lord, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.

21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death; but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid and fled, and went into Egypt.

22 And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, namely, Elnathan the son of Achbor and certain men with him into Egypt.

23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king, who slew him with the sword and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.

24 Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.

John 8:48-59

48 Then the Jews answered and said unto Him, “Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan and hast a devil?”

49 Jesus answered, “I have not a devil, but I honor My Father, and ye do dishonor Me.

50 And I seek not Mine own glory; there is One that seeketh and judgeth.

51 Verily, verily I say unto you, if a man keep My saying, he shall never see death.”

52 Then said the Jews unto Him, “Now we know that thou hast a devil! Abraham is dead and the prophets; and thou sayest, ‘If a man keep my saying he shall never taste of death.’

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Whom makest thou thyself?”

54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father that honoreth Me, of whom ye say that He is your God.

55 Yet ye have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I should say, ‘I know Him not,’ I shall be a liar like unto you. But I know Him and keep His saying.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day; and He saw it and was glad.”

57 Then said the Jews unto Him, “Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?”

58 Jesus said unto them, “Verily, verily I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am!”

59 Then they took up stones to cast at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
