Version
Psalm 119:57-64

Heth.

57 The Lord is my (A)portion;
I have [a]promised to (B)keep Your words.
58 I (C)sought Your favor (D)with all my heart;
(E)Be gracious to me (F)according to Your [b]word.
59 I (G)considered my ways
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I hastened and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The (H)cords of the wicked have encircled me,
But I have (I)not forgotten Your law.
62 At (J)midnight I shall rise to give thanks to You
Because of Your (K)righteous ordinances.
63 I am a (L)companion of all those who [c]fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64 (M)The earth is full of Your lovingkindness, O Lord;
(N)Teach me Your statutes.

Proverbs 3:27-35

27 (A)Do not withhold good from [a]those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it.
28 (B)Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it with you.
29 (C)Do not devise harm against your neighbor,
While he lives securely beside you.
30 (D)Do not contend with a man without cause,
If he has done you no harm.
31 (E)Do not envy a man of violence
And do not choose any of his ways.
32 For the (F)devious are an abomination to the Lord;
But [b]He is (G)intimate with the upright.
33 The (H)curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
But He (I)blesses the dwelling of the righteous.
34 Though (J)He scoffs at the scoffers,
Yet (K)He gives grace to the afflicted.
35 (L)The wise will inherit honor,
But fools [c]display dishonor.

Luke 18:18-30

The Rich Young Ruler

18 (A)A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 20 You know the commandments, ‘(B)Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’” 21 And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” 22 When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; (C)sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have (D)treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23 But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24 And Jesus looked at him and said, (E)How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For (F)it is easier for a camel to [a]go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 They who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” 27 But He said, (G)The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

28 Peter said, “Behold, (H)we have left [b]our own homes and followed You.” 29 And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, (I)there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times as much at this time and in (J)the age to come, eternal life.”
