Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
He
33 (A)Teach me, the way of Your statutes, Lord,
And I shall comply with it to the end.
34 (B)Give me understanding, so that I may (C)comply with Your Law
And keep it (D)with all my heart.
35 Make me walk in the (E)path of Your commandments,
For I (F)delight in it.
36 (G)Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to (H)dishonest gain.
37 Turn my (I)eyes away from looking at what is worthless,
And (J)revive me in Your ways.
38 (K)Establish Your [a]word to Your servant
[b]As that which produces reverence for You.
39 (L)Take away my disgrace which I dread,
For Your judgments are good.
40 Behold, I (M)long for Your precepts;
Revive me through Your righteousness.
Guilt Offering
6 [a]Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “(A)When a person sins and acts unfaithfully against the Lord, and disavows the rightful claim of his neighbor regarding a deposit or a security entrusted to him, or regarding robbery, or he has extorted from his neighbor, 3 or (B)has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that he sins regarding any of the things that people do; 4 then it shall be, when he sins and becomes guilty, that he shall (C)restore what he took by robbery or acquired by extortion, or the deposit which was [b]entrusted to him, or the lost property which he found, 5 or anything about which he swore falsely; (D)he shall make restitution for it [c]in full and add to it a fifth more. (E)He shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day he presents his guilt offering. 6 Then he shall bring to the priest his guilt offering to the Lord, (F)a ram without defect from the flock, according to your assessment, as a guilt offering, 7 and (G)the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he will be forgiven for any one of the things which he may have done to incur guilt.”
2 Look! I, (A)Paul, tell you that if you have yourselves (B)circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 And I (C)testify again to every man who has himself (D)circumcised, that he is obligated to (E)keep the whole Law. 4 You have been severed from Christ, you who [a]are seeking to be justified by the [b]Law; you have (F)fallen from grace. 5 For we, [c]through the Spirit, [d]by faith, are (G)waiting for the hope of righteousness. 6 For in (H)Christ Jesus (I)neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but (J)faith working through love.
