ルカ 19:45-48
神殿の敷地内をきれいにするイエス
（マタイ21:12-17; マルコ11:15-19; ヨハネ2:13-22）
45 イエスは神殿の敷地内に入った。彼はそこで商売をする人たちを見て、商売人を勢いよく追い出した！ 46 「聖書ではこう言っている。『わたしの神殿は、祈りの家と呼ばれる』しかしお前たちは、この場所を『泥棒が身を潜める場所』に変えた」と言った。
47 イエスは神殿の周辺にいる人々に毎日教え始めていた。祭司長や掟の学者たち、その他の指導者たちは、イエスを殺したかった。 48 しかし、イエスの周りにはいつも人々がいたので、彼らはどうしてもそれを実行に移せなかったのだ。誰もがイエスの言っていることにすごく興味を持っていたので、それを止めることができなかったのだ。
