1テモテ 6:13-16
13 ポンテオ・ピラト総督の前で大胆に証したイエス・キリストと、全ての者にいのちを与えてくれた神の前で、私はお前にこう命じる。 14 自分に任されたその行いを失敗せず、怠けずに行いなさい。そうすれば王であるイエス・キリストが再びこの世に現れる時に誰からも非難されずに済むだろう。 15 その時がいつなのかは神が定めている。最も偉く、唯一の統治者。王の王であり、全ての上に立つものである。 16 唯一の神は朽ちることもなく、決して死ぬこともない。彼は光の中に生きていて、その光はまぶしすぎて誰一人として近づくことができないほどだ。誰も彼を見たことがなく、見ることはできない。全ての名誉と力が彼の一部だ。永遠に。アーメン。
