マタイ 18:10-14
失われた羊について

10 このような小さな子供たちをなめるなよ。この子たちには天使がついている。天のお父さんのそばに四六時中いる天使がだ！ 11 人の子は失われた人々を救うために来た。——【いくつかのギリシャ語訳では、この11節が付け加えられているものが存在する】
12 100匹の羊を飼育する羊飼いがいたとする。しかし、1匹が迷っていなくなってしまったらどうだ？99匹を丘に放っておいてでも、その迷った1匹を探しにいくのが羊飼いだろ！ 13 そしてその1匹が見つかったら、迷わなかった99匹以上にその1匹を見つけたことを喜ぶだろう。 14 同じように天のお父さんは、小さなこの子たちが誰一人として迷ってほしくないのだ。
