耶稣治愈西门的岳母
38 耶稣离开会堂，来到西门 [a]家里。西门的岳母正在发高烧。他们请求耶稣为她治病。 39 耶稣站在她身边，斥责她身上的热病，烧便退了，西门的岳母便起来开始招待他们。
耶稣治好了许多人
40 当太阳落山时，人们把患有各种疾病的人都带到耶稣那里。耶稣把手依次放在他们身上，治好了他们的病。 41 鬼从很多人的身上跑了出去，这些鬼连喊带叫地说∶“你就是‘上帝之子’！”但是，耶稣斥责了他们，不许他们讲话，因为鬼知道他就是基督。
