Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
Worship God with Joy
A psalm of thanksgiving.[a]
100 Shout in triumph to Yahweh, all the earth.
2 Serve[b] Yahweh with joy;
come into his presence with exultation.
3 Know that Yahweh, he is God;
he made us and we are his.[c]
We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him; bless his name.
5 For Yahweh is good; his loyal love is forever,
and his faithfulness is from generation to generation.[d]
25 And I will make them a covenant of peace, and I will put an end to wild animals[a] from the land, and they will dwell in the desert safely,[b] and they will sleep in the forest. 26 And I will make them and the area all around my hill a blessing, and I will let the rain go down at its appointed time;[c] they will be rains of blessing. 27 And the tree[d] of the field will give its fruit, and the land will give its produce, and they will be on their land safely,[e] and they will know that I am Yahweh when I break their yoke, and I will deliver them from the hand of the ones enslaving them. 28 And they will not be any longer plunder to the nations, and the animals of the land will not eat them, and they will dwell in safety,[f] and there will not be anyone frightening them. 29 And I will raise for them a garden plot[g] of renown, and they will no longer[h] be victims of famine in the land, and they will not bear any more the insult of the nations. 30 And they will know that I, Yahweh their God, am with them and they are my people, the house of Israel,” declares[i] the Lord Yahweh, 31 “and you are my flock, the flock of my pasture. You are my people;[j] I am your God,” declares[k] the Lord Yahweh.’”
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
46 And[a] while[b] he was still speaking to the crowds, behold, his mother and brothers were standing there outside, desiring to speak to him. 47 And someone told him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are standing there outside desiring to speak to you.” 48 But he answered and[c] said to the one who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Behold my mother and my brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother and sister and mother.”
