Version
Psalm 119:41-48

Waw

41 Let your acts of loyal love also come to me, O Yahweh,
your salvation according to your word.[a]
42 Then I will have an answer for the one who taunts me,
for I trust your word.
43 And do not snatch the word of truth utterly from my mouth,
for I hope in your ordinances.
44 So I will heed your law continually,
forever and ever.
45 And I will go about freely,[b]
for I have sought your precepts.
46 And I will speak of your testimonies before kings,
and will not be ashamed.
47 And I will take delight in your commands,
which I love.
48 And I will lift up my hands[c] to your commands, which I love,
and I will meditate on your statutes.

Deuteronomy 26:16-27:7

16 “This day Yahweh your God is commanding you to do these rules and regulations, and you must observe them diligently[a] with all your heart and with all your soul.[b] 17 Yahweh you have declared today[c] to be for you as your God, and to go[d] in his ways and to observe his rules and his commandments and his regulations and to listen to his voice. 18 And Yahweh has declared you today[e] to be for him as a people, a treasured possession, as he promised[f] to you, and that you are to observe all his commandments, 19 and that he then will set you[g] high above all the nations that he has made for his praise and for fame[h] and for honor and for you to be a holy people[i] to Yahweh your God, as he promised.”[j]

Ceremonies

27 Then Moses and the elders of Israel charged the people, saying,[k] “Keep all of the commandment that I am commanding you today.[l] And then on the day that you cross the Jordan to the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, then you shall set up for yourselves[m] large stones, and you shall paint[n] them with lime, and you shall write on them all the words of this law at your crossing, so that you may come into the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your ancestors,[o] promised[p] to you. And when you cross the Jordan,[q] you shall set up these stones that I am commanding you about today[r] on Mount Ebal, and you shall paint[s] them with lime. And you shall build an altar there for Yahweh your God, an altar of stone, but[t] you shall not use an iron tool to shape the stones.[u] You must build the altar of your God with unhewn stones, and you shall sacrifice on it burnt offerings to Yahweh your God. And you shall sacrifice fellowship offerings, and you shall eat them there, and you shall rejoice before[v] Yahweh your God.

Matthew 19:16-22

A Rich Young Man

16 And behold, someone came up to him and[a] said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do so that I will have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why are you asking me about what is good? There is one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments!” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “Do not commit murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19 honor your[b] father and your[c] mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these I have observed. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give the proceeds[d] to the poor—and you will have treasure in heaven—and come, follow me.” 22 But when[e] the young man heard the statement, he went away sorrowful, because he was one who had many possessions.
