Psalm 119:41-48

Waw

41 Let your (A)steadfast love come to me, O Lord,
    your salvation (B)according to your promise;
42 then (C)shall I have an answer for him (D)who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
for my (E)hope is in your rules.
44 I will keep your law continually,
    forever and ever,
45 and I shall walk (F)in a wide place,
for I have (G)sought your precepts.
46 I will also speak of your testimonies (H)before kings
and shall not be put to shame,
47 for I (I)find my delight in your commandments,
    which I love.
48 I will (J)lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love,
and I will (K)meditate on your statutes.

Deuteronomy 26:16-27:7

16 “This day the Lord your God commands you to do these statutes and rules. You shall therefore be careful to do them with all your heart and with all your soul. 17 (A)You have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice. 18 And the Lord has declared today that you are (B)a people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments, 19 and that he will set you in praise and in fame and in honor (C)high above all nations (D)that he has made, and that you shall be (E)a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”

The Altar on Mount Ebal

27 Now Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep the whole commandment that I command you today. And on the day (F)you cross over the Jordan to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall set up large stones and plaster them with plaster. (G)And you shall write on them all the words of this law, when you cross over to enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you, (H)a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you. And when you have crossed over the Jordan, you shall set up these stones, concerning which I command you today, (I)on Mount Ebal, and you shall plaster them with plaster. And there you shall build an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones. (J)You shall wield no iron tool on them; you shall build an altar to the Lord your God of uncut[a] stones. And you shall offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God, and you shall sacrifice peace offerings and (K)shall eat there, and you (L)shall rejoice before the Lord your God.

Matthew 19:16-22

The Rich Young Man

16 (A)And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to (B)have (C)eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. (D)If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, (E)“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, (F)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, (G)“All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be (H)perfect, go, (I)sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have (J)treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 (K)When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
