149 Praise ye the Lord! Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints!
2 Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand
7 to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all His saints. Praise ye the Lord!
11 And the Lord said unto Moses, “Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt. Afterwards he will let you go hence. When he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow from his neighbor, and every woman from her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.”
3 And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.
4 And Moses said, “Thus saith the Lord: ‘About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt;
5 and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant who is behind the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts.
6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast, that ye may know how the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’
8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me and bowdown themselves unto me, saying, ‘Get thee out, and all the people who follow thee!’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
9 And the Lord said unto Moses, “Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.
29 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous,
30 and say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
31 Therefore ye are witnesses against yourselves, that ye are the children of them that killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up, then, the measure of your fathers.
33 “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers! How can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Therefore, behold, I send unto you prophets and wise men and scribes, and some of them ye shall kill and crucify, and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues and persecute them from city to city,
35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zechariah, son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation.
