哥林多後書 10:12-18
12 其實我們不敢把自己與某些自我推薦的人同列或比較。當他們以自己來衡量自己，以自己來比較自己的時候，他們是不領悟的。 13 但我們不會在界限以外誇耀，而是在神分給我們的界限範圍內誇耀，這界限甚至一直達到你們那裡。 14 的確，我們沒有過於擴張自己，好像達不到你們那裡，實際上我們帶著基督的福音已經來了，甚至遠到你們那裡。 15 我們並沒有在界限以外，以別人的勞苦誇耀。我們只是希望，隨著你們信仰的增長，我們的範圍就會因著你們而更加擴大， 16 以致把福音傳到你們以外的地方；我們不是在別人的範圍之內，為那些現成的事來誇耀。 17 不過「誇耀的當在主裡誇耀。」[a] 18 因為那經過考驗的人，不是自我推薦的，而是主所推薦的。
