彼 得 前 書 2:9-12
9 你们是上帝的选民，是君王的祭司，是一个圣洁的民族，是属于上帝的子民，上帝挑选你们去宣讲他召唤你们离开黑暗、进入他辉煌的光明的美德。 10 过去你们不是上帝的子民，但现在你们是他的子民；过去你们没有领受到怜悯，但是，现在你们领受到了上帝的怜悯。
为上帝而活
11 亲爱的朋友们，你们在这个世上，就像异客与陌生人，所以我恳请你们，不要放纵与你们自我作战的肉体欲望。 12 在外族人当中，你们要保持良好的品行，这样，尽管他们把你们当成罪犯来控告，但他们会看到你们的品行，等到基督到来的那一天，他们会把荣耀归于上帝。
