Isaiah 55:10-13

10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from the heavens, and does not return there, but waters the earth and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall be prospered in that for which I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be returned with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an eternal sign that shall not be cut off.

Psalm 92:1-4

A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

To show forth thy mercy in the morning and thy faithfulness every night

upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a pleasant sound.

For thou, O LORD, hast made me glad with thy work; I will delight in the works of thy hands.

Psalm 92:12-15

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be vigorous and flourishing

15 to show that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

1 Corinthians 15:51-58

51 ¶ Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall all indeed be raised, but we shall not all be changed;

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised without corruption, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O Hades, where is thy victory?

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 ¶ Therefore, my beloved brothers, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Luke 6:39-49

39 And he spoke a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the pit?

40 The disciple is not above his master, but any one that is as the master shall be perfect.

41 And why dost thou behold the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but not perceive the beam that is in thine own eye?

42 Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself dost not behold the beam that is in thine own eye? Hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

43 For a good tree does not bring forth corrupt fruit; neither does a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush do they gather grapes.

45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil, for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

47 Whosoever comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you to whom he is like:

48 he is like a man who built a house and dug deep and laid the foundation upon rock; and when the flood arose, the river beat vehemently upon that house and could not shake it, for it was founded upon rock.

49 But he that hears and does not do is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation against which the river beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
