New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 147:12-20

12 Extol the Lord, O Jerusalem.
Praise your God, O Zion.
13 For he makes the bars of your gates strong.
He blesses your children[a] within you.
14 He[b] brings peace to your territory.[c]
He abundantly provides for you[d] the best grain.
15 He[e] sends his command through the earth;[f]
swiftly his order reaches its destination.[g]
16 He sends the snow that is white like wool;
he spreads the frost that is white like ashes.[h]
17 He throws his hailstones[i] like crumbs.
Who can withstand the cold wind he sends?[j]
18 He then orders it all to melt;[k]
he breathes on it,[l] and the water flows.
19 He proclaims his word to Jacob,
his statutes and regulations to Israel.
20 He has not done so with any other nation;
they are not aware of his regulations.
Praise the Lord!

2 Chronicles 1:7-13

That night God appeared[a] to Solomon and said to him, “Tell me[b] what I should give you.” Solomon replied to God, “You demonstrated[c] great loyalty to my father David and have made me king in his place. Now, Lord God, may your promise[d] to my father David be realized,[e] for you have made me king over a great nation as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Now give me wisdom and discernment so[f] I can effectively lead this nation.[g] Otherwise[h] no one is able[i] to make judicial decisions for[j] this great nation of yours.”[k]

11 God said to Solomon, “Because you desire this,[l] and did not ask for riches, wealth, and honor, or for vengeance on your enemies,[m] and because you did not ask for long life,[n] but requested wisdom and discernment so you can make judicial decisions for my people over whom I have made you king, 12 you are granted wisdom and discernment.[o] Furthermore I am giving you riches, wealth, and honor surpassing that of any king before or after you.”[p]

13 Solomon left the meeting tent at the worship center in Gibeon and went to Jerusalem, where he reigned over Israel.[q]

Mark 13:32-37

Be Ready!

32 “But as for that day or hour no one knows it—neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son[a]—except the Father. 33 Watch out! Stay alert![b] For you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man going on a journey. He left his house and put his slaves[c] in charge, assigning[d] to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert. 35 Stay alert, then, because you do not know when the owner of the house will return—whether during evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or at dawn— 36 or else he might find you asleep when he returns suddenly. 37 What I say to you I say to everyone: Stay alert!”
