Zephaniah 3:14-20

14 Rejoice, O daughter Zion: be ye joyful, O Israel: be glad and rejoice with all thine heart, O daughter Jerusalem.

15 The Lord hath taken away thy [a]judgments: he hath cast out thine [b]enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord is in the midst of [c]thee: thou shalt see no more evil.

16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not, O Zion, let not thine hands be faint.

17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty: he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy: he will quiet himself in [d]his love: he will rejoice over thee with joy.

18 After a certain time will I gather the afflicted that were of thee, and them that bare the reproach for [e]it.

19 Behold, at that time I will bruise all that afflict thee, and I will [f]save her that halteth, and gather her that was cast out, and I will get them praise and fame in all the [g]lands of their shame.

20 At that time will I bring you again, and then will I gather you: for I will give you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.

Isaiah 12:2-6

Behold, God is my [a]salvation: I will trust, and will not fear: for the Lord God is (A)my strength and song: he is also become my salvation.

Therefore with joy shall ye [b]draw waters out of the wells of salvation.

And ye shall say in that day, (B)Praise the Lord: call upon his Name: declare his works among the people: make mention of them, for his Name is exalted.

Sing unto the Lord, for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the world.

Cry out, and shout, [c]O inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy one of Israel in the midst of thee.

Philippians 4:4-7

[a]Rejoice in the [b]Lord always, again I say, rejoice.

[c]Let your [d]patient mind be known unto all men. [e]The Lord is at hand.

[f]Be nothing careful, but in all things let your requests be showed unto God in prayer and supplication with [g]giving of thanks.

And the [h]peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall preserve your [i]hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Luke 3:7-18

Then said he to the people that were come out to be baptized of him, (A)O generations of vipers, who hath forewarned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits worthy amendment of life, and begin not to say with yourselves, We have Abraham to our Father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Now also is the axe laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be hewn down, and cast into the fire.

10 ¶ Then the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

11 And he answered, and said unto them, (B)He that hath two coats, let him part with him that hath none: and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

12 Then came there Publicans also to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?

13 And he said unto them, Require no more than that which is [a]appointed unto you.

14 The soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely, and be content with your [b]wages.

15 [c]As the people waited, and all men mused in their hearts of John, if he were not that Christ.

16 John answered, and said to them all, (C)Indeed I baptize you with water, but one stronger than I, cometh, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose: he will baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.

17 [d]Whose fan is in his hand, and he will make clean his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner, but the chaff will he burn up with fire that never shall be quenched.

18 Thus then exhorting with many other things, he preached unto the people.
