Psalm 93

93 1 He praiseth the power of God in the creation of the world, and beateth down all people which lift them up against his majesty, 5 and provoked to consider his promises.

The Lord [a]reigneth, and is clothed with majesty: the Lord is clothed, and girded with power, the world also shall be established, that it cannot be moved.

Thy [b]throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

[c]The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice: the floods lift up their waves.

The waves of the sea are marvelous through the noise of many waters, yet the Lord on high is more mighty.

Thy [d]testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine House, O Lord, forever.

Ezekiel 28:1-10

28 2 The word of God against the king of Tyre for his pride. 21 The word of the Lord against Sidon. 25 The Lord promises that he will gather together the children of Israel.

The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord God, because thine heart is exalted, and thou hast said, [a]I am a god, I sit in the seat of God in the midst of the sea, yet thou art but a man and not God, and [b]though thou didst think in thine heart, that thou wast equal with God,

Behold, thou art wiser than [c]Daniel: there is no secret that they can hide from thee.

With thy wisdom and thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures.

By thy great wisdom and by thine occupying hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Because thou didst think in thine heart, that thou wast equal with God,

Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, even the terrible nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

They shall cast thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the death of them, that are slain in the midst of the sea.

Wilt thou say then before him that slayeth thee, I am a god? but thou shalt be a man, and no god, in the hands of him that slayeth thee.

10 Thou shalt die the death of the [d]uncircumcised by the hands of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.

Acts 7:54-8:1

54 [a]But when they heard these things, their hearts brast for anger, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

55 [b]But he being full of the holy Ghost, looked steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus [c]standing at the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens open, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.

57 [d]Then they gave a shout with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and [e]ran upon him violently all at once,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the [f]witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, named Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, who called on God, and said, Lord Jesus receive my spirit.

60 [g]And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, [h]lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had thus spoken, he [i]slept.

2 The godly make lamentation for Stephen. 3 Saul maketh havoc of the Church.  5 Philip preacheth Christ at Samaria. 9 Simon Magus,  13 his covetousness reproved. 26 Philip 27 cometh to the Ethiopian Eunuch, 38 and baptizeth him.

And [j]Saul consented to his death. And at that time, there was a great persecution against the Church which was at Jerusalem, and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and of Samaria, except the Apostles.
