New English Translation (NET)
Version
Psalm 78:23-29

23 He gave a command to the clouds above,
and opened the doors in the sky.
24 He rained down manna for them to eat;
he gave them the grain of heaven.[a]
25 Man ate the food of the mighty ones.[b]
He sent them more than enough to eat.[c]
26 He brought the east wind through the sky,
and by his strength led forth the south wind.
27 He rained down meat on them like dust,
birds as numerous as the sand on the seashores.[d]
28 He caused them to fall right in the middle of their camp,
all around their homes.
29 They ate until they were beyond full;[e]
he gave them what they desired.

Exodus 12:33-42

33 The Egyptians were urging[a] the people on, in order to send them out of the land quickly,[b] for they were saying, “We are all dead!” 34 So the people took their dough before the yeast was added,[c] with their kneading troughs bound up in their clothing on their shoulders. 35 Now the Israelites had done[d] as Moses told them—they had requested from the Egyptians[e] silver and gold items and clothing. 36 The Lord[f] gave the people favor[g] in the sight of the Egyptians, and they gave them whatever they wanted,[h] and so they plundered Egypt.[i]

37 The Israelites journeyed[j] from Rameses[k] to Sukkoth. There were about 600,000 men[l] on foot, plus their dependents.[m] 38 A mixed multitude[n] also went up with them, and flocks and herds—a very large number of cattle.[o] 39 They baked cakes of bread without yeast using the dough they had brought from Egypt, for it was made without yeast. Because they were thrust out[p] of Egypt and were not able to delay, they[q] could not prepare[r] food for themselves either.

40 Now the length of time the Israelites lived in Egypt was 430 years.[s] 41 At the end of the 430 years, on the very day, all the regiments[t] of the Lord went out of the land of Egypt. 42 It was a night of vigil for the Lord to bring them out from the land of Egypt,[u] and so[v] on this night all Israel is to keep the vigil[w] to the Lord for generations to come.

1 Corinthians 11:17-22

The Lord’s Supper

17 Now in giving the following instruction I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse. 18 For in the first place, when you come together as a church I hear there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19 For there must in fact be divisions among you, so that those of you who are approved may be evident.[a] 20 Now when you come together at the same place, you are not really eating the Lord’s Supper. 21 For when it is time to eat, everyone proceeds with his own supper. One is hungry and another becomes drunk. 22 Do you not have houses so that you can eat and drink? Or are you trying to show contempt for the church of God by shaming those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? I will not praise you for this!
