Version
Acts 4:5-12

On the next day, their (A)rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem; and (B)Annas the high priest was there, and (C)Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly descent. When they had placed them in the center, they began to inquire, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?” Then Peter, [a](D)filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “[b](E)Rulers and elders of the people, if we are [c]on trial today for (F)a benefit done to a sick man, as to [d]how this man has been made well, 10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that [e](G)by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom (H)God raised from the dead—[f]by [g]this name this man stands here before you in good health. 11 [h](I)He is the (J)stone which was (K)rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in (L)no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”

Psalm 23

The Lord, the Psalmist’s Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my (A)shepherd,
I will (B)not be in need.
He lets me lie down in (C)green pastures;
He (D)leads me beside [a](E)quiet waters.
He (F)restores my soul;
He (G)guides me in the [b](H)paths of righteousness
For the sake of His name.

Even though I (I)walk through the [c]valley of the shadow of death,
I (J)fear no [d]evil, for (K)You are with me;
Your (L)rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You (M)prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You [e]have (N)anointed my head with oil;
My (O)cup overflows.
[f]Certainly (P)goodness and [g]faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life,
And my (Q)dwelling will be in the house of the Lord [h]forever.

1 John 3:16-24

16 We know love by this, that (A)He laid down His life for us; and (B)we ought to lay down our lives for the (C)brothers and sisters. 17 But (D)whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and (E)closes his [a]heart [b]against him, (F)how does the love of God remain in him? 18 (G)Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and (H)truth. 19 We will know by this that we are (I)of the truth, and will set our heart at ease before Him, 20 that if our heart condemns us, that God is greater than our heart, and He knows all things. 21 (J)Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have (K)confidence [c]before God; 22 and (L)whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we (M)keep His commandments and do (N)the things that are pleasing in His sight.

23 This is His commandment, that we [d](O)believe in (P)the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as (Q)He [e]commanded us. 24 The one who (R)keeps His commandments (S)remains in Him, and He in him. (T)We know by this that (U)He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

John 10:11-18

11 (A)I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd (B)lays down His life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand, and not a (C)shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf snatches them and scatters the flock. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep. 14 (D)I am the good shepherd, and (E)I know My own, and My own know Me, 15 just as (F)the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and (G)I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And I have (H)other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become (I)one flock, with (J)one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I (K)lay down My life so that I may take it back. 18 (L)No one has taken it away from Me, but I (M)lay it down on My own. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it back. (N)This commandment I received from My Father.”
