New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
Version
Psalm 85:1-2

Psalm 85[a]

Prayer for Divine Favor

For the leader. A psalm of the Korahites.

I

You once favored, Lord, your land,
    restored the captives of Jacob.(A)

Psalm 85:8-13

Show us, Lord, your mercy;
    grant us your salvation.

III

[a]I will listen for what God, the Lord, has to say;
    surely he will speak of peace
To his people and to his faithful.
    May they not turn to foolishness!
10 Near indeed is his salvation for those who fear him;
    glory will dwell in our land.
11 [b]Love and truth will meet;
    justice and peace will kiss.(A)
12 Truth will spring from the earth;
    justice will look down from heaven.(B)
13 Yes, the Lord will grant his bounty;
    our land will yield its produce.(C)

Hosea 6:1-6

Chapter 6

    “Come, let us return to the Lord,(A)
For it is he who has torn, but he will heal us;
    he has struck down, but he will bind our wounds.
He will revive us after two days;
    on the third day[a] he will raise us up,(B)
    to live in his presence.
Let us know, let us strive to know the Lord;
    as certain as the dawn is his coming.
He will come to us like the rain,
    like spring rain that waters the earth.”(C)

What can I do with you, Ephraim?
    What can I do with you, Judah?
Your loyalty is like morning mist,
    like the dew that disappears early.
For this reason I struck them down through the prophets,
    I killed them by the words of my mouth;[b](D)
    my judgment shines forth like the light.
For it is loyalty that I desire, not sacrifice,
    and knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.(E)

1 Thessalonians 1:2-10

Thanksgiving for Their Faith. We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly(A) calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope[a] of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, knowing, brothers loved by God, how you were chosen.(B) For our gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the holy Spirit and [with] much conviction. You know what sort of people we were [among] you for your sake.(C) And you became imitators[b] of us and of the Lord, receiving the word in great affliction, with joy from the holy Spirit, so that you became a model for all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.(D) For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth not only in Macedonia and [in] Achaia, but in every place your faith in God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.(E) For they themselves openly declare about us what sort of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God(F) 10 and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from [the] dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.(G)
