雅各書 4:4-10

4 你們這些淫亂的人[a]哪！難道你們不知道，與世界為友，就是與神為敵嗎？所以，如果有人想要和世界做朋友，他就成了神的仇敵！ 5 或者，你們以為經上所說的「神[b]使聖靈住在我們裡面，他愛我們[c]到嫉妒的地步」是空話嗎？

6 不過他賜下更大的恩典，所以經上說：

「神抵擋驕傲的人，
賜恩典給謙卑的人。」[d]

7 因此，你們要服從神，要抵擋魔鬼，魔鬼就會逃避你們。 8 你們要親近神，神就會親近你們。你們這些罪人哪，當使你們的手潔淨！心懷二意的人哪，當使你們的心純潔！ 9 你們應當難過、悲傷、痛哭；把你們的歡笑變為悲傷，快樂變為憂悶。 10 你們當在主面前降卑，他就會高舉你們。
